The bi-Hamiltonian structure of original Hirota–Satsuma system proposed by Roy [Phys. Lett. A 249 (1999) 55] based on a modification of the bi-Hamiltonian structure of Ito system is incorrect. Total K-shell ionization cross sections by electron bombardment have been measured for copper silver and gold at various energies up to 140 keV. Total LIII-shell ionization cross sections have also been measured for gold.
